On Saturday July 12, 2014 six members of the Third Ward High Priest Group went on a four wheeling trip to the west Prior Mountain. It was a beautiful summer day and those that went on the trip had a very good time! Many more wanted to go on the trip but were unable because of Byron day. But we will go again!
Below are photos that were taken on the trip

If you look toward the top middle of the photo you can see part of a switchback road up the mountain. We won't be traveling up this road, but a road with similar switchbacks. |

This is where we leave the main road and on to a rough 4 wheel drive road going up the mountain. |

As we travel up the mountain we go though an area of dead trees caused by a forest fire. |

The wild flowers are as thick as I have ever seen them. Blue Lupine, white Phlox, the American bistort are the white ball flowers, purple Shooting Stars and yellow Daisies. |

The wild flowers were as thick as a carpet |

The trail though the forest |

To follow the trail we had to drive over some fallen timber. |

This cabin was built on a slope but it still looks like it is leaning more than it should be. What is amazing is that the floor inside is level. |
