On August 14, 2014 The High Priest Group met to have an activity and good meal. It was called a “Cow Pasture Golf Tournament”. The golf clubs were in a container with only the handles in view. Each participant would draw a club from the container not knowing which type of club it was. It could be a putter or a driver. This club would be the one used for the entire course. The course was out on sagebrush flat with Prickly Pear Cactus and gopher holes. A barbed wire fence spilt the course in half. The nine holes were marked out with a yellow flag on an anthill. The ball needed to be within 3 feet from the flag to count as making the hole. The players were split into groups of 3 and each group would play together as they went around the course. Although scores were not kept it still was fun and competitive within each group as the ball most often did not go in the direction wanted. After the course was completed all gathered together to have barbequed hamburgers with all the trimmings, potato chips, pop, and ice cold water.
